Okonomiyaki equals economy-yaki??

I am going camping this weekend with my husband and our friends.

We are going to make okonomiyaki for dinner, so I ordered the ingredients for delicious okonomiyaki from Osaka,

I once had a chance to eat okonomiyaki with friends from overseas. At that time, one of them said “economy-yaki?

Sounds great！”

I’m sure he misheard me, but I felt that he might be right.
