I read an essay – The value of farms and farming in Singapore – in the japan times alpha.
It says that the agricultural farmland had been reallocated for military use and the land lease will be expiring soon.
Given Singapore’s small land area, there is nothing for it but to understand this system.
According to the writer even if farmers can’t keep their farms, the least we could do is given them opportunities to share what they know.
