Kochia

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I went to the National Hitachi Seaside Park with my husband. The last time we went in spring, we saw the Nemophila. The vast hills of Miharashi were covered with pretty blue Nemophila flowers and they were magnificent. This time we saw Kochia (broom grass) with red autumn leaves on the same hill. As Kochia grow, their colour changes from vibrant green in the summer to a greenish-red and finally to a bright scarlet in October. Kochia bushes are known for their unique round shape and fluffy texture.
