SED-Day0633-January25(Thursday)-2024-Training Day
Dear Diary,
Today, I want to talk about my English language journey. It’s something I’ve been dedicated to for quite some time now, and I thought it would be nice to document my progress.
Every morning, for the past five years, I’ve been indulging in my love for the English language by reading aloud for about 1-2 hours. The mere sound of English is something that truly resonates with me. Along the way, I’ve made various attempts to enhance my vocabulary. Flashcards were one of my strategies, but I found myself giving up on them multiple times, opting instead to focus on reading and writing.
Unfortunately, my journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Tests like TOEIC and Eiken have proven to be formidable opponents for me. My difficulty in hearing clearly, even in face-to-face conversations, forced me to withdraw from these assessments. It’s a recurring issue, and I often need people to repeat what they say, particularly when it’s a woman’s voice.
Recently, I’ve been experimenting with a method known as ‘Read and Look Up’ to bolster my working memory. My ultimate goal with English is to reach a point where I can watch English movies without relying on subtitles. Additionally, I aspire to explain my educational app and provide programming instructions in English.
It’s an ongoing journey, and I’m excited to see where my dedication to English language proficiency will take me. Until next time, Diary!
