Specifically, IOWN aims to solve the problems of conventional networks such as high-speed communication, low latency, security, and energy efficiency by developing new technologies that combine optical and wireless communications to achieve faster and higher-performing networks. Additionally, by utilizing technologies such as AI, IoT, and big data, IOWN is expected to contribute to solving social issues and creating new business models. Development of IOWN is underway with the aim of practical implementation by the 2030s.
