I started playing the cello at the age of 41.
After a while, I joined a citizen’s orchestra and practiced hard every day.
At the regular concerts of the orchestra, we played Mozart Symphony No. 40, Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5, Mussorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition, and others.
Until the pandemic came, I enjoyed string ensembles in karaoke rooms with my musical friends.
My musical friends play violin, viola, cello, and piano.
We play Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Bach’s Jesus bleibet meine Freud, Pachelbel’s Canon, etc. together.
Now that it’s a pandemic, I enjoy playing ensembles with my remote musical friends online using Yamaha’s SYNCROOM service.
Ensemble playing is great fun and time flies by.
Do you play any instruments?
I have an electronic piano in my house.
But, no one in my family touches it.

I didn’t know “SYNCROOM”, doesn’t this have a latency problem?
An audio interface that supports the ASIO standard is required. If well adjusted, the delay is within 10 msec. It is almost the same as a real performance.
